One hundred years ago, if a rugged individualist wanted to put up a radio mast, there was no need to seek outside assistance. The idea is self-explanatory, but the August 1926 issue of Popular Mechanics did include detailed blueprints. The finished product was 35 feet tall, which the magazine deemed sufficient for good results.
