Sixty years ago this month, the July 1966 issue of the British Radio Constructor carried the plans for this two-transistor TRF receiver for the medium wave band. The magazine noted that the TRF (tuned radio frequency) set would never match the performance of a superhet, but for the beginner, it was easy to understand and build, and no complicated alignment procedures were necessary.
