1954: Stock Market Recovers from 1929 Crash

1954ChicagoTribuneSixty years ago today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average hit a high of $382.74. The Chicago Tribune┬ánotes that this is a “new high for 25 years,” and notes that the previous record was $381.17 on September 3, 1929.
